Yooowee

Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 28, 2026

Yooowee is a nearby social app designed to help adults discover and connect with people around them without showing exact location, exact distance, or a live map.

Data We Collect

We collect account, profile, device, discovery, messaging, safety, payment, and technical data needed to operate Yooowee.

  • Account data such as email, optional phone number, password hash, account status, and timestamps.
  • Profile data such as display name, profile photo, bio, selected intention, and visibility settings.
  • Discovery data such as rotating tokens, Bluetooth signal observations, WiFi peer verification data, timestamps, and approximate proximity bands.
  • Messaging metadata, chat session identifiers, delivery metadata, and encrypted message blobs. Yooowee servers should not store plaintext message bodies.
  • Safety and moderation data such as reports, blocks, panic events, audit logs, device-risk signals, and safety team actions.
  • Payment entitlement data such as product ID, platform, transaction ID, entitlement status, expiration date, and receipt-validation result.
  • Technical and security data such as IP address, app version, OS version, request logs, crash diagnostics, rate-limit events, and fraud-prevention signals.

How We Use Data

  • Create, authenticate, protect, and recover accounts.
  • Power nearby discovery through rotating private tokens and approximate proximity bands.
  • Send connect requests, create chat sessions, relay encrypted messages, and send neutral push notifications.
  • Operate safety features, blocks, reports, moderation, and panic workflows.
  • Validate purchases and manage premium entitlements.
  • Debug, secure, monitor, improve, and protect Yooowee.
  • Comply with law and respond to valid legal process.

Data We Do Not Sell

Yooowee does not sell personal or sensitive user data. We do not share precise proximity, discovery, panic, or message metadata with advertisers or data brokers.

Nearby Discovery Privacy

Discovery tokens rotate and do not contain direct user identifiers. Yooowee is designed to show proximity bands rather than exact feet, meters, GPS coordinates, or live maps. Blocks are enforced across discovery, connect requests, messaging, push notifications, and admin views.

Messaging Privacy

Yooowee messaging is designed for end-to-end encryption. Servers store encrypted blobs and routing metadata needed to deliver the service. Plaintext content should remain on user devices unless a user reports content or platform safety features require local handling.

Profile Photo Safety

A profile photo is required before an account can appear in nearby discovery or start a new connection. Before a new photo is published, Yooowee may use automated image-safety screening and, when a result is uncertain, restricted human review. This screening is used to evaluate content safety. It is not used for facial recognition, face matching, biometric identification, or to infer a person's age, gender, or emotions. A replacement does not remove the current approved photo while the new photo is being checked. Rejected and superseded photos enter Yooowee's secure deletion process.

Panic And Safety Data

Panic mode may preserve a safety snapshot so trained reviewers can review the event. This snapshot may include nearby user IDs, active sessions, timestamps, device details, and optional location if the user chooses to include it and grants permission. Access to panic data is restricted and audited.

Retention

Data type Retention target
Account and profile data Until account deletion, plus a short operational recovery window unless law requires longer.
Discovery token mappings and raw proximity observations Short-lived operational windows, then aggregate or delete.
Encrypted messages Until deleted, expired, or account/session retention policy applies.
Reports, moderation records, panic events, payment records, and security logs As needed for safety, legal compliance, tax/accounting, fraud prevention, dispute handling, enforcement, or incident response.

Your Choices

  • Update profile information.
  • Change discovery and visibility settings where available.
  • Disable Bluetooth, local network, WiFi, notifications, or optional location through device settings.
  • Block and report users.
  • Delete your account in the app or request deletion from the public web page.
  • Request access, correction, deletion, or portability where required by law.

Third Parties

Yooowee may use service providers for hosting, analytics, crash reporting, push notifications, email or SMS verification, payment validation, image-safety screening, moderation tooling, and customer support. Providers are limited to service operation, security, fraud prevention, compliance, or support.

Children

Yooowee is for adults only. Users must be at least 18 years old.
